Principal Accountabilities (include, whilst not limited to)
  • Implementation of the Risk Management Framework through the project organisation including the Portfolio and adherence with the Risk Management processes and governance cycle within the project delivery organisation.
  • Act as a Risk Lead and provide risk management support to the Area, Programme and Functional Directors and teams to ensure project portfolio and delivery risks are adequately identified, assessed, controlled, actioned, and reported to the Project.
  • Alignment and linkage of delivery risks to portfolio risks to ensure there is a comprehensive coverage of risk across the project and to support Executive reporting on risk exposure and support linkage to the strategic risk register.
  • Continuous review and improvement of delivery risk management work instruction, supporting training and ARM Risk Management Software.
  • Accountable for the timely production, assurance and focussed Risk and Opportunity reporting for the Project at all levels, including Project Review, Portfolio Risk Review, and board reporting.
  • Ensure risk management data is accurate, metrics are available to the project through Power-Bi reporting, and reporting meets the needs of the project.
  • Represent the delivery risk management function at internal and external stakeholder audits.
  • Responsible for recruitment and line management of the Delivery Risk Team
  • Leading, coaching and supporting all staff within the Risk Team
  • Ensuring team adherence to HPC and EDF policies.
  • Oversees the alignment of risk information to the schedule and cost baselines and works with PMO functional areas to understand the impact and mitigation options for key risks.
  • Ensure all Project documents, in particular Sensitive Nuclear Information, are correctly protectively marked, and protected in accordance with EDF policies and procedures

  • Excellent leadership skills and experience leading teams.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Educated to degree level and / or relevant evidencable relevant experience in similar role / context.
  • Risk specific qualifications or membership to a professional body is preferrable.
  • Senior level experience within a Risk or Project Controls team in a complex, highly regulated industry (ideally nuclear or energy).
  • Experience of practical application of Risk frameworks and methodologies, and how they are applied in major projects.
  • Proven leadership experience and experience of supporting a team to maximise the team contribution to Project success.
