Job summary

Sanderson Government & Defence is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead a government IAM delivery programme in a hybrid setup (remote with monthly Whitechapel office attendance). The contract run is 18 August 2026 through 24 December 2026 with a day rate of £425-£475.

Active SC clearance is required to commence. You will coordinate multiple technical teams, align priorities and ensure successful programme outcomes.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to join a high-profile government digital transformation programme focused on the delivery of a strategic Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering a business-critical programme that will modernise identity, access and software licensing across a large engineering and business estate. Working within a complex stakeholder environment, you will be responsible for coordinating delivery across multiple teams, aligning competing priorities and ensuring successful programme outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical project delivery background, complemented by excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working within structured governance environments.

• Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

• Strong technical understanding and ability to work closely with engineering teams.

• Demonstrated ability to align diverse stakeholders around common delivery objectives.

• Active SC Clearance.

The programme combines Agile ways of working with structured governance and project controls, requiring a pragmatic Delivery Manager who can operate confidently across both approaches.
