Key Responsibilities
End‑to‑End Delivery
  • Lead the delivery of work through multidisciplinary teams. Work with the teams to align backlogs and set team‑level prioritisation.
  • Own the full delivery lifecycle, including backlog from scoping through to post‑deployment support.
  • Ensure delivery practices support agility, transparency, and predictability across all workstreams.
  • Monitor and manage risk, issues, and dependencies proactively across technical and business teams.
Team Leadership and Performance Enablement
  • Line‑manage Business Analysts, supporting career development and engagement.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Own and report on OKRs and KPIs relevant to engineering and delivery performance.
  • Provide clear performance goals, regular feedback, and support to grow individual capability.
  • Work with the Engineering Manager to ensure resourcing, onboarding, and succession plans align with evolving delivery needs.
Stakeholders and Communication
  • Translate complex delivery progress into clear updates for business and transformation leaders.
  • Work closely with Business Partners, Architects, the Engineering Manager and Business Analysts to align priorities and expectations.
  • Facilitate cross‑team planning and communication to reduce silos and increase transparency.
  • Escalate blockers early with solutions‑focused dialogue across stakeholders.
Engineering Excellence
  • Ensure teams follow structured SDLC practices, including CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
  • Promote standardisation of platforms, tools and documentation across delivery streams.
  • Partner with Solution Architects to align implementation with scalable design principles.
  • Identify technical debt and lead initiatives to manage and reduce it over time.
Delivery Process Optimisation
  • Collaborate with Product, Architecture and Enablement leads to align roadmaps with execution capacity.
  • Use data and retrospectives to evolve sprint planning, estimation and throughput.
  • Track delivery metrics (velocity, burn‑downs, throughput) and act on insights.
  • Standardise delivery templates, governance and tooling to increase team efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Proven experience managing cross‑functional technical teams, including Software Engineers, Salesforce professionals and Integration Engineers, with a track record of delivering complex programmes or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, hybrid) and the ability to tailor approaches to suit team maturity, technical stack and business priorities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate effectively across Product, Architecture and Business Operations teams.
  • Hands‑on knowledge of enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and MuleSoft, with the ability to guide technical teams while understanding the implications of decisions on scalability, integration and business value.
