This role will be within our demand management and network infrastructure team.

What will you be doing?

As our Delivery Manager you’ll be working on our Thames Water Infrastructure Programmes contract. You’ll be responsible for leading an experienced team to deliver on a number of key metrics for Thames Water. In both maintenance small capital works (including District and Zonal Meters, pressure management and reduction, CALMS network and high consequence valves). The work is dynamic and varied. You’ll be responsible for managing programme and project delivery from higher volume to larger and more complex works with a regular review of performance against safe, quality delivery and cost.

You’ll need to manage the safe and quality assured delivery of the projects to high standards, ensuring the correct processes and procedures are in place and followed for right first time and defect free delivery. You will also lead the stakeholder management across this varied portfolio through proactive engagement and be responsible for the risk management of this programme.

You’ll be responsible for achieving financial targets whilst delivering against the client’s regulatory and measured targets. Managing, measuring, and reporting commercial, operational / programme, schedule and quality information centrally and working closely in collaboration with our client. Lead by example and promote a positive behavioural safety, health, environment, and wellbeing culture.

What you’ll bring
  • Proven track record of mechanical engineering and capital maintenance
  • Understanding of the water process, and the types of equipment / assets involved
  • A strong commercial and contractual background
  • Knowledge of temporary works, and a comprehensive understanding of CDM.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams in a regulated water environment against milestones and budgets in a safe and profitable way at a senior level
  • Ability to manage risk and business management with commercial and business acumen
  • NEBOSH or similar
  • APM or equivalent
