A leading global investment manager in the City of London seeks a Delivery Lead to ensure teams deliver value effectively and consistently. The ideal candidate will manage delivery objectives, foster team collaboration, and apply agile practices. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure high-quality outcomes. A commitment to flexible working with a balance of office and remote days is part of the role.
Delivery Leads are accountable for ensuring teams deliver value consistently and effectively.
You create and maintain the conditions for delivery success: clear objectives, iterative plans, and motivated teams working at a sustainable pace. You focus on outcomes, ensuring the right balance between business priorities and technical quality while proactively managing dependencies, addressing risks, and removing impediments.
Equally at ease with business stakeholders and technical engineers, you bring credibility and challenge where needed, using agile and lean practices to improve flow and collaboration. Above all, you are pragmatic, adapting approaches to context, prioritising what delivers the most value, and recognising that sustained delivery depends on both mindset and discipline.
We’re a global investment manager. We help institutions, intermediaries and people around the world invest money to meet their goals, fulfil their ambitions, and prepare for the future.
We have around 5,000 people on six continents. And we’ve been around for over 200 years, but keep adapting as society and technology changes. What doesn’t change is our commitment to helping our clients, and society, prosper.
There’s a huge amount of change going on at Schroders. Technology’s shaping our business more and more, so there are many opportunities waiting to be grabbed. And because we’re a big financial player, we can put hefty backing behind good ideas.
We’re a serious business – we have enormous responsibilities to our clients and shareholders. But just because we’re suited and booted, that doesn’t make us stuffy; our tech teams are friendlier and more informal than you might expect.
We moved into our new HQ in the City of London in 2018. We’re close to our clients, in the heart of the UK’s financial centre. And we have everything we need to work flexibly.
Group Business Platforms provides the technology platform for all of Schroders operational functions across Public Assets, Wealth Management and Private Markets.
We support all business domains across Schroders Group from traditional processes such as Trade Operations, Portfolio Accounting, Risk Management, Performance Measurement and Attribution, Regulatory Compliance, Client Reporting, and Workflow Automation.
In addition, we also support less traditional areas such as Real Estate, Private Equity, Private Debt and Credit Alternatives and Renewable Energy Infrastructure.
We also support Client Technology and Corporate functions with their data solutions.
Our primary goal is to deliver business value through application of domain expertise and provision of robust solutions to our customers. The team works very closely with the Operations businesses across the Group to create a Technology platform with an emphasis on a stable operating environment that can function efficiently and at scale.
The teams primarily operate agile ways of working but are flexible across large programmes of work.
The Regulatory Reporting team works closely with our business stakeholders to create and maintain a reporting platform that sources and delivers appropriate and timely data to meet Schroders’ regulatory reporting obligations. The data that is sourced, ingested, enriched and published needs to be accurate and timely to ensure adherence to the various regulatory commitments that we have as an enterprise. A stable operating environment that can function at multiple speeds and levels of scale is key.
To deliver this, the team owns, maintains and ensures operational health of several processes and tooling to provide adherence to multiple global regulatory requirements. These include but are not limited to MiFID, Solvency II and G20 reporting and include submissions to the likes of the FCA, MAS, ASIC and ESMA regulatory bodies directly and through reporting platforms such as DTCC and UnaVista.
Our solutions use a mix of traditional and modern technologies – primarily based on the Microsoft stack. Our approach for any new builds is cloud first with our solutions including the use of data feeds, databases, Azure services and APIs. We are keen to innovate where appropriate and build, integrate or adopt new tooling with AI capabilities where appropriate.
We recognise that successfully balancing personal and professional commitments brings out the best in our teams and therefore all roles in Global Technology are reviewed for suitability for flexible working arrangements. This specific opportunity it is expected to require 5 days per week with 3 days office time and the balance remotely. We passionately believe that personal performance is enhanced by embracing the whole person and structuring a working environment that supports them.
