Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Technology Delivery Lead Specialist to drive complex digital delivery across Health and Public Service clients in the UK. Based at client sites in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds or London, you will partner with product owners, project managers and engineers to design, deliver and innovate solutions.

The role requires agile and waterfall delivery experience, strong stakeholder skills and the ability to work across multi-cloud and AI-enabled projects.

Qualifications

  • Experience collaborating with product owners, project managers and developers to design and deliver solutions.
  • Ability to problem solve and manage stakeholders and delivery relationships across internal/external teams.
  • Adapt to new clients or technologies.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • 2–3 years across the delivery lifecycle in cloud or SaaS projects.
  • Familiarity with software delivery and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, Project).
  • Experience using AI tools in delivery (Copilot, GenAI).
  • Translate business needs into actionable design documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product owners, project managers, analysts, SMEs, developers) to design and deliver solutions.
  • Articulate solutions to stakeholders with varying technical knowledge and lead junior resources where needed.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to new clients or technologies while delivering on commitments.
  • Apply Agile or Waterfall delivery methodologies as appropriate to the project.
  • Contribute across delivery lifecycle with cloud/SaaS projects and diverse teams.
  • Utilise JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel and Project to manage work.
  • Leverage AI tooling in the delivery of projects and programmes.
  • Translate business needs into design artifacts and documentation.
  • Foster strong external client relationships to ensure project success.

The following skills and experience are essential for this role:
  • Experience working with product owners, project managers, business analysts, SMEs and developers to collaboratively design and deliver solutions. Able to articulate solutions to stakeholders with different degrees of technical knowledge. Some experience of leading a team, collaborating with or managing junior resources.
  • Demonstrate an ability to problem solve while confidently and effectively manage relationships, communication and delivery upwards across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate an ability to adapt to new clients or technologies.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding and practical experience of Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies, understanding the differences between both and would embrace working in the appropriate methodology as needed
  • Experience working in different roles across the delivery lifecycle with at least 2-3 years’ experience in either a project/programme management, design, development and or QA roles working as part of a team across the delivery lifecycle complex technology solutions; preferably on Cloud or SaaS systems.
  • Experience working with various software delivery and project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, project
  • Experience in using Agentic and GenAI tooling such as Copilot, Anthropic Claude and AWS Q in the delivery of projects and programmes
  • Experience in analysing data to infer conclusions to inform systems design and informed decision making in project delivery.
  • The ability to understand business needs and requirements and can translate into actionable design documentation, supporting the communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing strong and collaborative relationships with external clients / customers
Set yourself apart:
  • Demonstrable experience in functional and non-functional analysis and design or understanding of the importance of good development discipline.
  • Experience of working in the highly regulated industries such as health and public sector, if not then an interest to work with public sector clients and to build your knowledge of delivering solutions for the UK Government, Defense, Security Agencies and Public Safety
  • Proven history of working within a complex and diverse delivery environment.
  • Understand key software architecture principles, integration design patterns and understanding of designing secure systems.
  • Experienced as subject matter expert in one or more tools and technologies. Able to identify requirements and translate into actionable design documentation.
  • Experience working with DevOps tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes).
  • It would be advantageous to have multi-cloud experience (including but not limited to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud)
  • Have worked in an agile environment.
