The UK Change Execution team is dedicated to creating new opportunities for our customers by leading and facilitating change. The department is instrumental in driving change improvements in customer experience and unit costs through automation, standardisation, and optimisation of HSBC’s operating model covering people, processes, products, and channels.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual with strong leadership capability to join this team in the role of Delivery Lead (upto 12 months secondment), initially working in the forming of Value Streams to support coaching, training, communication and implementing agile ways of working.

The individual will be responsible for driving and supporting the implementation of the HSBC Agile Framework, building agile maturity with leadership of UK VS’s, creating a continuous improvement culture, and coaching agile behaviours.

A key part of this role will be to continue driving the evolution of agile working practices. This will involve engaging across change, business and technology to support the development of individuals and teams, identifying appropriate learning interventions and evolving our practice as change professionals.

In this role you will:
  • Support the Value Stream and Sub Value Stream leaders, and the Change Execution Team, taking ownership of delivering outcomes aligned to the prioritised value stream capabilities.
  • Work with a broad range of stakeholders to shape the Value Stream Operate and Optimise Roadmap, whilst focusing on achievement of business outcomes and relentlessly creating value for our customers & colleagues
  • Work with discipline and integrity to deliver change safely and efficiently, using operational risk frameworks whilst pro-actively managing challenges in a timely manner.
  • Adopt an agile mind-set, continually adapting, innovating, and improving for the future; bringing colleagues together to focus on common outcomes and utilise their expertise.
  • Design and implement approach to generating agile culture measurement, assessments, and insights
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
  • Previous leadership experience is crucial. The successful candidate must be able to motivate a diverse team in a remote environment across various locations.
  • Prior experience of implementing large‑scale changes within complex organisations and technologies is required. Strong stakeholder management skills are essential. You must have a proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels, guiding groups with differing opinions towards a shared vision, while maintaining a strong focus on customer needs.
  • Experience in addressing unclear business challenges and adjusting leadership styles and methods to reach desired results is essential.
  • Previous experience of defining, leading and delivering Operating Model changes within HSBC is highly desirable – particularly relating to Payments and Customer onboarding
  • Familiarity with Change Management approaches, including Agile and best practice techniques, is important. Previous use of tools like Confluence and Jira would be a significant advantage.

This is a hybrid working role with the base location as Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds or Chester.
