Job summary

TXP is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join a central Government Department delivery team based in Telford, with one day per week onsite. The role emphasizes a delivery-focused approach, leveraging technical knowledge to identify risks and drive successful software delivery.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on software development or testing exposure and a proven track record in Agile delivery within complex multi-team environments. BPSS clearance is a plus for this public sector setting.

Qualifications

SFIA Level 5 Scrum Master experience
Hands-on software development or software testing background
Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and end-to-end software delivery lifecycle
Experience in complex, multi-team technology environments
Delivery-focused with ability to identify and resolve blockers
Confident stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to challenge, influence and drive positive delivery outcomes

Responsibilities

Act as Scrum Master for one or more delivery teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies
Drive delivery outcomes while applying Agile principles pragmatically
Identify and remove delivery impediments, risks and dependencies
Use your technical background to assess delivery health, quality and readiness
Work closely with Developers, Testers, Product Owners and Delivery Leads
Provide clear delivery updates to stakeholders
Ensure delivery activities align with relevant governance requirements
Challenge teams and stakeholders constructively to keep delivery on track
