Job summary

Creative Gardens is seeking a full‑time Delivery Driver/Merchandiser in Northern Ireland to ensure bakery products are delivered safely and presented well across our garden centres. The role combines driver duties with in‑store merchandising, stock rotation and high presentation standards.

You will use EPOS systems, manage stock, and support the Bakehouse team with packing and upkeep. A full UK driving licence (25+ for insurance) and strong customer service skills are essential.

• Use EPOS to record stock transfers and report discrepancies.
• Pack and dispatch bakery products; assist Bakehouse team with cleaning and other duties.
• Build positive working relationships with colleagues at each site.

Delivery Driver/Merchandiser, Newtownards (F1020)

Creative Gardens - Food Co. Bakehouse - Crawfordsburn Road, Newtownards.

At Creative Gardens, baking is at the heart of what we do. Our cafés are known for their home-baked treats, made freshly in our own kitchens every day.

As we continue to grow, we’re excited to be opening a dedicated Bakehouse—allowing us to create even more of our delicious bakery products for you to enjoy at home, under our new brand, Creative Gardens Food Co.

Delivery Driver/ Merchandiser (F1020)

Salary: £28,080 (£13.50 per hour)

Responsible to: Bakehouse Production Manager

Hours of work: Full time, permanent - Shift times to be confirmed, 5 shifts per week and will include 1 weekend day

Role Purpose

Our Delivery Driver/ Merchandiser role plays a vital role in ensuring Creative Gardens Food Co. products are delivered safely, presented beautifully, and available for customers across all of Creative Gardens Garden Centres.

This role is much more than making deliveries. You will be responsible for maintaining attractive, fully stocked retail displays that reflect the quality of our Creative Gardens Food Co. brand. Through excellent merchandising, careful stock rotation and close communication with the Bakehouse Production Manager, you will help maximise sales while reducing waste.

Once deliveries and merchandising have been completed, you will support the Bakehouse team with stock preparation, cleaning and other operational duties.

Key Responsibilities

Merchandise all Creative Gardens Food Co. retail displays across our four garden centres.

Ensure displays are attractive, fully stocked and maintained to the highest standard.

Remove products approaching the end of shelf life or below quality standards.

Ensure pricing and product labelling is accurate and presentable.

Delivery & Distribution

Assist with loading the delivery vehicle accurately and safely.

Deliver bakery products to all Creative Gardens locations on schedule.

Ensure products arrive in excellent condition.

Follow delivery schedules and planned routes efficiently.

Build positive working relationships with colleagues at each site.

Stock Control & Administration

Use EPOS systems to record stock transfers where required.

Report stock discrepancies or shortages promptly.

Vehicle Responsibilities

Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.

Keep the delivery vehicle clean and presentable.

Bakehouse Support

Assist with packing and dispatch.

Clean work areas and equipment.

Support the Production Manager and wider Bakehouse team as required.

Full, clean UK driving licence (aged 25+ for insurance purposes, no more than 3 penalty points)

Excellent organisational and time management skills.

Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation standards.

Ability to work independently while managing priorities.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Physically capable of lifting and moving bakery products safely, bending, stooping standing.

Reliable, punctual and dependable.

A commitment to quality and presentation.

Experience in retail merchandising or visual display.

Experience working with food products.

Food Safety or Hygiene qualification (or willingness to undertake training).

Experience using EPOS or stock management systems.
