Job summary

Angard Staffing Solutions Ltd, on behalf of Royal Mail, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join us as flexible temporary postal delivery drivers. The role involves delivering letters and parcels in your community, with a mix of driving and on-foot duties.

Shifts vary and you’ll be paid according to the Royal Mail rate card (£13.69–£16.44 per hour). A driving assessment is required at start; this is a temporary position with potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points – you’ll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels across your community, driving and on foot as needed.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items (food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Pass a driving assessment when you start.
