Job summary

SBL Couriers GmbH is seeking a self-employed delivery driver in Reading to join an established team delivering parcels for a leading online retailer. You may bring your own van or rent one from partners, with paid induction and ride-alongs to get started.

Earn £177.84-£190 per day as standard, plus a £20 daily peak incentive during peak periods. DBS and a valid UK/EU manual licence are required, with flexible routes up to six days a week.

Join SBL Couriers as a self-employed delivery driver in Reading , earning £197.84-£210 per day, including a £20 daily peak incentive . No delivery experience? Bring your own van or explore our van rental options, and become part of an established team delivering parcels for a leading online retailer.

Collect and load parcels at the local delivery station. Deliver parcels safely and efficiently to homes and businesses. Follow pre-planned routes using smartphone GPS guidance. Handle parcels with care and follow delivery instructions. Provide friendly, professional customer service at each stop. Follow road safety rules and park safely when making deliveries.

The £20 daily peak incentive is subject to terms and conditions and applies during the peak period only.

What you’ll need

• A full, valid UK or EU manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• £20 daily peak incentive , with mileage paid on top.

Standard daily rates are £177.84-£190.

Paid training and support: No delivery experience required. Get started with one paid induction day and two paid ride-along days, plus £250 worth of additional company-funded training.

£1,000 experienced-driver joining bonus: Available to eligible experienced drivers, subject to terms and conditions.

Additional earning opportunities: Tips and performance incentives could boost your earnings by up to £120 per week . Regular routes and flexible availability: Opportunities to work up to 6 days per week , including weekends, subject to route availability.

Van rental from £230 per week: Use your own van or rent through our partners with no upfront rental cost . Rental includes insurance, maintenance, MOT, vehicle tax and breakdown cover, subject to eligibility and rental terms.

£200 own-van joining bonus: Available to eligible drivers joining with their own van.

£250 referral bonus: Earn a bonus for introducing another eligible driver to the team.

Progression opportunities: Opportunities to move into lead driver and management roles as the business grows.

Immediate starts available: Get on the road once the required checks and onboarding are complete.

Peak incentive: The £20 daily incentive applies until 26 December 2026 , subject to terms and conditions. Standard rates apply from 27 December 2026 .

Please note: This is a self-employed opportunity. Earnings are before tax and applicable business costs, including van rental where relevant. Joining bonuses, referral bonuses and performance incentives are subject to eligibility and terms and conditions.

Ability to pass a basic DBS background check. A reliable, motivated approach and a friendly, customer-focused attitude. Confidence using a smartphone for navigation and delivery instructions. Ability to load, unload and carry parcels safely. No previous delivery experience required - fully paid training is provided.

Van rental eligibility

To meet our van rental insurance requirements: You must be aged 23 or over . Aged 23-24: You must have held a full UK or EU manual driving licence for at least 2 years . Aged 25 or over: You must have held a full UK or EU manual driving licence for at least 1 year . These age and licence-duration requirements apply to van rental only. Drivers using their own van must meet their own insurance requirements.

Driving endorsements

Applicants with any of the following driving endorsement codes cannot be considered: MS40, MS50, MS60, MS70, MS80, AC, BA, CD, DD, DG, DR, IN, TT or UT.
