Job summary

Berry Recruitment is seeking a Home Delivery Driver for our Bedford-based team. This temporary ongoing role requires delivering white and brown goods and bulky items directly to customers' homes, with an immediate start.

The role involves multi-drop driving, manual handling of 80–90kg with a two-person team when required, and delivering a professional customer experience. Typical start is 06:00am, Sunday to Thursday, in Kempston/Bedford.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with no more than the company-approved number of penalty points.
• Good level of physical fitness due to regular heavy lifting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a company van and complete scheduled deliveries.
• Deliver white goods, brown goods and bulky items to customers' homes.
• Lift and manoeuvre items weighing up to 80-90kg as part of a two-person delivery team where required.
• Handle goods with care to prevent damage during transport and delivery.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
• Complete delivery paperwork and follow company procedures.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safe manual handling practices.

Pay

• Basic Pay: £13.48 per hour
• Van Driver Allowance: £1.19 per hour on top of the hourly rate!
