Job summary

A leading delivery service provider in Northern Ireland is seeking a Delivery Driver to efficiently deliver office supplies and equipment. Responsibilities include delivering stationery products, assisting in the warehouse, and planning delivery routes efficiently. The ideal candidate must possess a full driver's license and experience in building flatpack furniture. Strong communication skills and the ability to lift heavy equipment are essential. This role may require additional hours on occasion.

Job description

To efficiently and effectively deliver office supplies and equipment, assist in the warehouse and load van for deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mainly stationery products, but also photocopiers and furniture throughout Northern Ireland.
• Help pick deliveries and provide holiday and sickness cover for Store Supervisor.
• Plan delivery route efficiently considering delivery instructions and traffic.
• Load van with deliveries for day ensuring all parcels are clearly labelled.
• Take adequate precautions for the protection of products until point of delivery, especially when delivering furniture.
• Deliver goods to customers premises in a friendly and helpful manner and leave goods where the customer requests.
• Ensure the number of parcels marked for each customer on the delivery are delivered in full.
• Obtain a printed name, date and time as proof of delivery for every delivery note.
• Collect goods from customers using appropriate paperwork that has been issued.
• Inform Warehouse Supervisor while out delivering if there are any unexpected problems, if running behind, can’t find a customer or if the customer is closed.
• Deliver and builds office furniture.
• Responsible for ensuring van is kept clean, tidy and secure at all times and all damages and faults are reported to the Store Supervisor.
