Job summary

Henderson Group in Newtownabbey (Hightown Avenue Mallusk) is seeking a Deli Team Member to join our busy deli counter. You will greet customers, advise on products, prepare and bake goods, and keep prep areas clean, while following food safety regulations.

No prior foodservice experience required—we provide training. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday with early starts, and opportunities for development within a family-owned group committed to teamwork and customer

Our Deli’s are a convenient place for our customers to stop for breakfast, lunch or great coffee on the go. Our hard-working and friendly team make it all happen- from preparing delicious food, delivering first class customer service at the deli counter, or maintaining great hygiene standards by keeping the prep and service areas clean. You’ll be supported by a team of brilliant people, and there are fantastic career development and progression opportunities.

As Deli Team Member you will:

• Listening to and understanding our customers' needs and advising customers about our products and services.
• Provide a first-class service to all of our customers.
• Prepare, cook and bake goods, working within food safety regulations.
• Keeping prep areas and counters clean and tidy, including kitchen porter and production kitchen duties.
• Work as part of a team to ensure all counters - SPAR Bakery and deli remain fresh and appetizing for our customers.
• Undertake other duties as required for the role.

Skills for Success

• Don’t worry if you have no previous retail or foodservice experience - we’ll provide you with all the right training.
