Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking a Food Service Associate/Deli Clerk to manage daily deli and food service operations, ensuring sanitation, appearance, and guest satisfaction. You will handle cash transactions, operate scales and registers, and prep deli items while following safety procedures.

The role requires flexibility for weekend/evening shifts and involves lifting and operating kitchen equipment. Training will cover inventory, pricing, and customer service standards within a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings.
• 2 years foodservice or retail management experience required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Serv-Safe certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Work in walk-in coolers and freezers.
• Stand for long periods and handle knives/olids safely.
• Minors may only use OSHA-approved knives.

Responsibilities

• Process cash register transactions, including refunds.
• Learn to use register, scales, scanners and terminals.
• Read UPC codes, product labels, signage, and policies.
• Prepare, wrap, weigh, slice and stock deli/food service products.
• Cook and prepare deli items, salads, sandwiches and beverages.
• Operate slicers, fryers and ovens safely.
• Take guest orders and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain cleanliness of check stand and production areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
