A global specialty lines (re)insurer is looking for a team lead to manage the DA BDX team in Manchester. The role involves oversight of bordereaux processes and stakeholder communication. Applicants should have experience in insurance/law, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proven track record of managing operational improvements. The position supports a hybrid working model and offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance and a pension plan.
The Role: The primary purpose of this position is to provide line management, support, guidance, oversight, training and development for the DA BDX Team (outsourced – WNS, UK Team). Reporting to the Head of Credit Management, Underwriting & Claims Operations, the role will ensure that the flow of work is effectively monitored and controlled, that the quality of work meets the required standard, that any escalations are handled smoothly, and that the Head of Department is provided with the right level of information to support the smooth operational running of the function. The post holder will positively represent the DA BDX team in dealings with stakeholders internally and externally and may deputise for the Head of Department when required. The role also involves guiding, managing, overseeing, supporting and providing services to the syndicate and other Canopius companies by coordinating the processing of premium and claims bordereaux and providing the subject matter expertise required in this area.
