What you’ll be doing

As a Manufacturing Degree Apprentice at BAE Systems, you will work within our manufacturing engineering team, playing a pivotal role in the planning and smooth delivery of manufacturing engineering across our product portfolio. This includes:

  • Supporting teams to bring products from the early design stage to full production and operation
  • Working on our existing products across a global customer base, as well as supporting the next generation of weapon platforms for the future battle space
  • Understanding how core industrial engineering, mechanical engineering and the facilities/systems involved, come together to produce world-class products
  • Developing fundamental knowledge and understanding of the relationships between engineering and operations and how these teams collaborate to interpret drawings, tooling and documentation as they bring together our weapon systems products in real-time

Qualification requirements

5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:
3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject
OR
An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
