A leading defense technology company is seeking Degree Engineer Apprentices in Barrow-in-Furness. This apprenticeship offers opportunities in electronics, mechanical systems, software, and more. Candidates will receive tailored training and participate in projects that shape future weapon platforms. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English, along with 3 A-levels or an equivalent vocational qualification. The Engineering Degree Apprenticeship offers a wide and exciting variety of opportunities in a broad spectrum of engineering disciplines. These varied disciplines will provide you with the opportunity to engage in supporting technical changes to not only our existing product portfolio through analysis, concept design and tests and trials but will also allow you to work on the next generation of weapon platforms for the future battle space.
You will be given visibility of a range of engineering disciplines in which a personal development plan will be created. This includes bespoke technical training along with engineering placements around the business. The following discipline specific apprenticeship roles are currently available:

5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:
3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject
OR
An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
