Job summary

Babcock International Group is seeking a skilled Painter for the refurbishment and preparation of military vehicles at Catterick, near Richmond, North Yorkshire. You will work as part of a team delivering high standards of finish and durability in a defence-focused environment.

Based in a workshop setting, the role requires experience in spray painting and surface preparation, with a Level 3 qualification in Paint Spraying and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Paint Spraying, RQF or NVQ minimum.
• Valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting through masking, washing, blasting, filling, and sanding activities.
• Apply cleaning agents and degreasers to remove contaminants and ensure surfaces are coating-ready.
• Carry out spray painting, patch painting, and rolling activities to required quality standards.
• Inspect completed work to ensure finish, durability and compliance with specifications.
• Work safely and collaboratively to support the refurbishment of military vehicles and equipment.
