Job summary

Advanced Resource Managers Ltd is seeking a Systems Engineer to support UK-based Defence customers with the next generation of Voice Communication solutions. The role focuses on on-premise system builds, integration, and commissioning, with strong emphasis on Cisco networking, VoIP integration, and adherence to Defence standards.

You will collaborate across internal and external teams, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to bid responses and training.

Qualifications

• Engineering Delivery within a mission-critical or military domain is essential.
• Recent experience of server and workstation build and configuration in a Linux environment is essential.
• Familiarity with system installation tasks, including electrical, electronics and mechanical engineering skills.
• Defence/MOD domain knowledge and Defence standards understanding is required.
• Solid project delivery experience in fast-moving environments.
• Experience in Requirements Engineering.
• Practical Cisco networking experience including Cisco IOS CLI.
• VoIP systems including Telephony/Radio integration.

Responsibilities

• System build, integration and commissioning of on-premise solutions for Defence customers.
• Configure systems per customer requirements.
• Collaborate on design, implementation and delivery with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate with customers about technical issues and troubleshoot faults.
• Inspect and accept products from sub-suppliers prior to implementation.
• Coordinate tasks with local and international teams.
• Create work instructions and work plans for projects.
• Assist with technical responses for bids and with training.
