Defence Strategy Manager

Job summary

PwC in London is seeking an experienced strategy adviser to lead Defence, Space and Aerospace client work, delivering organisational transformation, digital enablement and efficiency gains.

You will manage small teams, build client relationships and support delivery of complex programmes across ministry of defence and armed forces, with weekly site visits and security clearances. Travel is required; DV clearance or ability to obtain is essential.

Qualifications

• Experienced strategy adviser or policy analyst with Defence/Armed Forces and/or Aerospace & Defence sector experience.
• Experience developing organisational strategy/policy and supporting stakeholders to transform their business.
• Excellent client handling skills with experience delivering projects or contributing to large-scale strategy and operations change programmes.
• Ability to contribute to delivery in Operational Transformation, Capabilities Development, Strategic Cost Reduction and Digital Disruption.
• Ability to manage self and others, with experience leading smaller teams and developing colleagues.
• Experience working in diverse teams across functions, geographies or cultures.
• Strong team player with empathy, humility and dedication to joint success.
• Clearance up to DV level or capable of being cleared; willingness to travel weekly; no work visa sponsorship available.
• Government clearance required.

Requirements

• Experienced strategy adviser or policy analyst with strong experience working with the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces and/or the Aerospace and Defence sector
• Experience of developing organisational strategy/policy and supporting stakeholders to transform their business
• Excellent client handling skills with experience of delivering projects or contributing to larger-scale strategy and operations change programmes
• Ability to contribute to delivery in one or more of: Operational Transformation, Capabilities Development, Strategic Cost Reduction and Digital Disruption
• Ability to manage self and others, with experience in leading smaller teams and supporting others to develop
• Experience working in functionally, geographically or culturally diverse teams
• Strong team player with empathy, humility and dedication to joint success and shared development
• Already cleared, or capable of being cleared, up to DV level
• Ability to travel and work on client site on a weekly basis
• No work visa sponsorship available
• Government clearance required
