Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Solutions Architect to support complex defence and security programmes in Bristol. This predominantly onsite six-month contract offers technical leadership across secure, integrated solutions, with active DV clearance preferred.

Responsibilities include acting as the technical authority, shaping architectures, roadmaps, and leading reviews while mentoring others and representing the organisation at senior forums and industry events.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing secure, integrated solutions.
• Experience in infrastructure, applications, data, networking and cloud.
• Knowledge of TOGAF, MODAF or NAF architectures.
• Experience in UK secure environments and MOD systems.
• Strong communication and ability to influence technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for solution design across large programmes.
• Define and evolve architectures balancing customer needs and secure-by-design standards.
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and opportunities for innovation.
• Lead technical reviews, trade-off studies and risk assessments.
• Mentor and coach Solutions Architects and Engineers across the technical community.
• Represent the organisation at senior customer forums and industry events.
• Support bids, proposals and business-winning activities.
• Champion architectural best practice and model-based design approaches.
