Job summary

Searchability NS&D is expanding its National Security & Defence division with a recruitment consultant role based in Manchester. You will own the full recruitment cycle, develop relationships with defence, security and tech consultancies, and engage senior clients and cleared candidates daily.

The role requires 2+ years in agency recruitment, a track record in business development, and the ability to mentor junior consultants. Manchester city-centre commute three days a week is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in agency recruitment (IT, Digital, Engineering or Defence preferred).
• Proven history of business development and nurturing client relationships.
• Ability to coach or mentor junior consultants (desirable).
• Willingness to commute to Manchester city centre at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow client relationships with innovative defence, security and technology consultancies in the UK.
• Own the full 360° recruitment cycle — from business development through offer negotiation and placement.
• Use a best-in-class tech suite.
• Source, market and engage hard-to-find technical talent.
• Collaborate across group brands and share insights with national teams.
• Bring energy, curiosity and commercial acumen to conversations with senior clients and cleared candidates.
