Morson Group is seeking a Firmware (FPGA) Engineer to join the team delivering firmware for defence and related products. The role involves architecture, design, verification and working with systems, software and hardware engineers across projects at Manor Royal, Crawley, with a mix of on-site and remote work.

You will work closely with a dedicated firmware team to meet time, cost and quality targets, and contribute to process improvements, documentation, scripting and automation, while

Competenze

• Strong communications, verbally and in writing, supported by a relevant electronics degree and 5+ years of experience.
• Verification test bench experience with SystemVerilog or C++.
• Verification methodology: OSVVM/UVVM or similar.
• IBM DOORS for requirements management.
• Simulation using Modelsim/Questasim/Simulink.
• Digital design using VHDL and Verilog/SystemVerilog.
• Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, Serial, AXI4.
• Object oriented design techniques and image processing knowledge.
• MatLab for algorithm development and Linux development environments.

• Deliver firmware projects within agreed time, cost and quality targets.
• Verify firmware using HDL/HDL-based verification methods.
• Design firmware with HDL and enhance firmware processes (documentation, scripting, reporting, automation).
