Job summary

Faculty is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to lead ML delivery within our Defence team in the UK. You will own strategic projects, guide technical strategy, and mentor data scientists while engaging with clients on high-stakes engagements.

You will translate challenges into roadmaps, write robust production-grade code, and collaborate with commercial and delivery teams to drive growth. UK Security Clearance eligibility is required, with travel across the UK as needed.

• Mentors junior data scientists and leads complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Own a strategic portfolio of ML work for Defence.
• Translate client challenges into technical roadmaps and deliverables.
• Write production-grade code to set technical standards.
• Act as a technical authority on ML across Faculty.
• Drive technical selling and business growth with commercial teams.
• Lead and mentor teams through complex problem solving.
