Whether you’re patrolling key areas, managing gatehouse duties, or being the friendly face clients rely on, as a Dedicated Security Officer you’ll be an essential part of something bigger. Due to the nature of the site, an additional level of security clearance is required. Therefore, applicants must be a British National and have lived in the UK for at least 5 years. This is essential to meet the specific security requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

  • Meet, greet and assist visitors/staff/contractors
  • Carry out regular site patrols, focusing on health & safety and security
  • Ensuring compliance with government regulations
  • Assist in an emergency i.e. site evacuation and conduct staff searches where required
  • Always maintain an alert and vigilant approach, to ascertain any potential threats or changes within the work environment and take the appropriate steps to reduce disruption, loss or damage
  • Maintain accurate logs/records of all visitors, staff, contractors, couriers, activities and incidents
  • Ensure that there is a thorough handover after each shift between Security personnel
