An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our busy team as a Decontamination Services Technician; helping to provide a comprehensive decontamination service to the Trust.
The Decontamination Department is looking to recruit hard working, enthusiastic, flexible and motivated individual to join their team. The position of technician offers successful candidates the opportunity work within a well established and friendly team and train in all aspects of decontamination and sterile services.
The Decontamination Department is responsible for the provision of decontamination and sterilisation services to surgical theatres, endoscopy, out patient departments and wards/units of the Trust, together with GP's and other community users.
The post holder will be expected to work flexibly across 7 days and between the hours of 06:00 and 22:00. Weekend and bank holiday working will be required.
The successful candidates will be required to work in all areas of the department and work up to 1 in 3 weekends.
A full training package and mentorship programme will be available to the successful applicants.

The role of Decontamination Technician is to assist in the day-to-day production, issue and distribution of medical devices required for clinical use. Technicians are expected to follow demonstrated training and work instructions to ensure production is to a high standard.
