Job summary

PortmanDentex is recruiting for a Decontamination Assistant at Lander Dentistry & Implant Clinic in Truro. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a competitive hourly rate and regular shifts from 08:30 to 17:30. Full training will be provided to support you in sterilisation procedures.

You may work behind the scenes, but your impact reaches every patient, ensuring a safe and efficient decontamination process within the practice.

Qualifications

• Methodical and process-driven approach with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Willing to learn sterilisation procedures and follow health and safety protocols.
• Full training provided; prior clinical experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support decontamination processes to ensure sterile patient safety.
• Work behind the scenes with frontline teams.
• Maintain cleanliness and inventory of decontamination area.
• Adhere to hygiene and safety standards.

About you

We’d love to receive your application to our Decontamination Assistant vacancy if you have the following skills and qualities:

A methodical and process-driven approach to work, with great attention to detail

Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team

Willing to learn sterilisation procedures and follow all relevant health and safety protocols

Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
