A leading ferry company in the UK is offering various cadetship programs including Deck, Engineering, and Electro-Technical cadetships. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training, learn practical skills, and can expect job opportunities as Junior Officers upon completion. Applicants should have a minimum of four National 5's/GCSEs including Maths and English, hold a valid UK/EEA passport, and have been UK residents for at least 36 months.
We offer a number of Deck cadetships. As a deck officer cadet you will be a part of the ship’s management team, you will learn vessel steering and navigation and ensure the overall safe operation of our vessels. Subjects on this course include Bridge watchkeeping, stability, chartwork and emergency response & communications.
We offer a number of Engine cadetships. As a marine engineering cadet, you will learn about the maintenance of the vessel’s engine room and mechanical machinery. Subjects on this course include marine legislation, marine propulsion, thermodynamics, and workshop skills.
We offer a number of Electro-Technical cadetships. As an Electro Technical cadet you will learn about the running and maintenance of our vessels electro‑technical equipment. Subjects on this course include mathematics for electrical engineers, engineering science, radio communications and electrical principles and systems.
