Job description

Pearse Partners has partnered with a purpose-driven investment manager to seek a Debt Portfolio Associate to support the Energy team’s rapidly growing lending platform.

The firm manages over £3.6 billion across Social Housing, Clean Heat, Private Credit, and Venture strategies, focusing on investing in renewables, storage, and digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the Portfolio Manager with covenant testing on the portfolio.
  2. Help proactively monitor the portfolio with a targeted and pragmatic approach.
  3. Regularly update and forecast project cashflows in line with budgets.
  4. Build and maintain financial models for cashflow projections, sensitivity analyses, and risk assessments.
  5. Manage loan administration, including utilisation requests, repayment schedules, waiver submissions, and compliance.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with project developers, sponsors, lawyers, investment teams, and other stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Strong understanding of debt structures and documentation.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, or private debt, ideally focused on energy/infrastructure.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Growing relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Strong financial modelling and analysis skills.
