Worcestershire County Council is seeking a specialist teaching assistant to support deaf children and young people in mainstream schools across the county. You will work alongside Qualified Teachers of the Deaf, a Multi Sensory Impairment team, an Educational Audiologist and Specialist Practitioners, with opportunities to work in different settings as needed.

The role requires experience with children and young people and a BSL Level 2 qualification (or progress towards).

Qualifications

• Experience working with children/young people.
• BSL Level 2 qualification (or working towards).
• Ability to travel across Worcestershire to different settings.

Responsabilités

• Support deaf learners in mainstream settings across the county.
• Collaborate with Qualified Teachers of the Deaf, Educational Audiologist and Specialist Practitioners.
• Advocate for and support the needs of deaf pupils and families.
