In this role you will work closely with specific business areas to understand current and future business requirements. You will act as a key point of contact throughout the lifecycle of projects, representing DDaT at project and portfolio boards where required. As a trusted liaison for senior business stakeholders, you will ensure initiatives align with strategic technology roadmaps and help optimise technical capabilities across the organisation. This includes guiding stakeholders to adopt solutions such as Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and AI‑driven tools to deliver smarter, more efficient ways of working.

You will have…

  • A good understanding of policing, with the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to articulate complex concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Strong consulting skills, with an aptitude for influencing and enabling others.
  • An ability to get to the heart of customer requirements and consider these within the broader context of organisational change.
  • Knowledge of, or an appetite to identify, opportunities for AI, Generative AI, and automation to support planning and improve efficiency.
  • The ability to work closely with customers to translate their plans into technology roadmaps and prioritise that work in collaboration with DDaT colleagues.
  • Whilst advanced technical IT skills or proven experience in DDaT specialities are not essential, they are welcomed. Applicants are encouraged to review the attached job profile for desired skills and experience, paying particular attention to demonstrating the key behaviours outlined.
