The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations Security Team is seeking a highly talented and motivated physical Security Program Manager (SPM) to join our team. The position is responsible for the design review, installation and integration of security systems equipment including, but not limited to, Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems. The SPM will oversee technology research, system design and layout, construction and implementation, maintenance and upgrades over the life of the system. The SPM is a key member of the EURI Security team, reporting to the Multi Cluster Security Program Manager, supervising compliance of physical security standards, managing Physical Security Projects, and serving on cross‑functional teams. The SPM’s success is measured by the development, implementation and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region and by agreed objectives and metrics related to customer service, access control effectiveness, and protection of data, employees, and visitors. The position observes Physical Security Standards and Programs that support the Global Physical Security Team’s goals while enabling local site managers to access related services in a self‑service manner.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for large‑scale security engineering projects, coordinate security system design specifications and change management between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Apply project management skills in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize tasks effectively and work seamlessly across organizational boundaries.
  • Secure compliance of physical security project standards, scopes of work, budgets and timelines.
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs and change‑outs.
  • Support security system equipment commissioning.
  • Complete the final test and acceptance of security systems.
  • Build and deploy training programs for all users of physical security systems.
Basic Qualifications
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM or other security certification, or Associate’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification and experience in Lenel Access Control Systems, BVMS and Red Scan deployment
