Job description

As a Chef, you will be working in a school environment, assisting the Chef Manager in the running of the kitchen operations. As a team you will be responsible for providing meals to students.

Key responsibilities
  • To support the Chef Manager with the day to day operations of the kitchen
  • Support in the preparation and cooking of school meals for students to a high standard
  • Ensuring meals are cooked following all food hygiene and food safety protocols, adhering to any allergen and dietary requirements.
  • Ensure all health safety protocols are followed, keeping all catering areas clean
  • Support in the planning of menus to meet all dietary requirements
  • Support the Chef Manager in the supervision and training of the catering team
About You
  • Experience in a similar environment, ideally within education catering
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and food hygiene
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Experience handling allergen protocols
  • Food Hygiene certifications
  • Enhanced DBS disclosure
