Babcock is seeking a DBA Manager in Bristol with hybrid working to lead Oracle DB and middleware services for national security projects. You will guide a team, optimise performance, ensure security, and drive in-house transition and new digital solutions. The role demands strong leadership and deep Oracle experience.

As a DBA Manager, you'll lead the delivery and performance of critical Oracle database and middleware services that support defence and engineering operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and optimised, helping teams across the business deliver vital programmes with confidence.
Day-to-day, you'll shape both technology and people capability. You'll guide a team of specialists, support the transition to an in-house function, and play a key part in delivering new digital solutions. It's an opportunity to grow your leadership skills while working on systems that directly enable national defence and infrastructure.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and requires on site attendance in Bristol 2-3 days per week
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance and also hold additional clearances as required for the role.
