Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Day Facilities Assistant to work at Maudsley Hospital within the Facilities Department. You will man the main reception, monitor alarms and CCTV, and support post, laundry, and waste management across sites.

The role requires good organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Shifts are 07:00–19:00, 4 on/4 off, with duties including handling deliveries, driving a Trust vehicle when required, and assisting with furniture

Qualifications

• Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable with IT and keen to learn new software packages and processes.

Responsibilities

• To man the main reception at Maudsley.
• To collect and deliver post to and from the Trust's service locations, driving a Trust vehicle.
• To collect and dispose of clinical and domestic waste from services.
• To deliver clean and collect soiled linen to wards and departments.
• To respond to Planet FM requests promptly and prioritise them appropriately.
