Job summary

Ashton Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV 1 Driver for a Mallusk-based role with a structured Monday-Friday daytime shift. You will safely transport materials, load vehicles, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining accurate paperwork.

Pay starts at £16.50 per hour with overtime at £21.94 after 50 hours. This temporary-to-permanent opportunity includes full training on company systems and procedures, with a strong emphasis on health and safety and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Good understanding of driving hours and tachograph regulations.
• Customer-focused approach.
• Flexible and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely loading vehicles for delivery, ensuring correct weights and secure loads.
• Completing deliveries while following all health & safety procedures.
• Maintaining accurate delivery paperwork, including signed and dated delivery notes.
• Following driving hours, tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.
• Using vehicle tracking systems correctly at all times.
• Providing a high level of customer service and representing the company professionally.
