By keeping the team focused and the operation running smoothly, you'll help get parcels where they need to be, on time. You'll lead a fantastic team, inspiring them to deliver excellence every day. • Lead and motivate your team: Inspire and support your team to achieve operational targets, keeping everyone focused, engaged and working together throughout the shift.
• Keep warehouse processes on track: Make sure our warehouse processes for efficient parcel handling, sorting and scanning are followed consistently, so parcels move through the depot accurately and on time.
• Train and develop new team members: Train and develop new starters, helping them settle in and supporting them to achieve and maintain our performance standards.
• Support the management team: Work closely with the Supervisors and Shift Managers by identifying and escalating challenges, and by problem solving to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse: Foster a clean, safe and organised warehouse environment, upholding both company policies and health and safety standards so that everyone can work safely and efficiently.
• Communication skills: Effective communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Warehouse or logistics experience: An understanding of, or familiarity with, working in a warehousing or logistics environment.
• Leadership experience: Team leading or supervisory experience is desirable.
• Forklift licence: A forklift licence is preferable.
• Flexibility and adaptability: A flexible, adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on support: You'll be comfortable supporting Warehouse Operatives with physical parcel handling when needed.
• Safety and excellence: A commitment to upholding safety and operational excellence.
• Right to work in the UK
• Shift pattern: This role works any 5 days in 7, 06:00am to 14:30pm. Some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the business.
