Responsibilities

  • Ensure all drivers promptly report and record vehicle defects, maintaining safety and reliability.
  • Monitor drivers’ hours using Microlise and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement and productivity.
  • Support end-to-end transport requirements, optimise scheduling and routing.
  • Lead and communicate to optimise workflows and system use in transport.
  • Contribute to KPI targets and champion change initiatives.
  • Provide 24-hour incident support during system failures to protect service standards.
  • Lead health and safety across the team and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee and maintain the transport fleet and ensure legal compliance and best practices.
  • Monitor upcoming legislation and industry standards to stay compliant.

About the role:

InPost is seeking a dedicated and proactive Days Transport Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Lutterworth. This pivotal role involves overseeing day-to-day transport operations, ensuring the seamless delivery of exceptional service to both InPost and our valued customers.

InPost Distribution, 4400 Harrier Pkwy, Magna Park, Lutterworth, LE17 4XT.

Shift Pattern:

4on 4off

Hours:

06:00am - 18:00pm

Salary:

£31,000 per annum

5 Minutes from M1 Junction 20 & 10 Minutes from M6 Junction 1

What you’ll be doing:
  • Ensure all drivers promptly report and accurately record vehicle defects, maintaining the highest standards of safety and vehicle reliability.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to drivers’ hours regulations using Microlise, leveraging the system’s advanced tracking to ensure compliance and promote safe, efficient operations.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and enhanced productivity across the transport team.
  • Support the comprehensive management of our client’s end-to-end transport requirements, utilising Microlise and other tools to optimise scheduling, routing, and resource allocation.
  • Maximise operational performance by acting as a central point of contact for the transport team, providing leadership and clear communication to optimise workflows and system use.
  • Play an active role in achieving KPI targets, contributing insights and championing change initiatives that propel the operation forward.
  • Provide critical 24-hour incident support during operational system failures, swiftly investigating issues, communicating timely updates, and safeguarding service standards to protect the company’s reputation.
  • Lead proactive health and safety management, prioritising employee wellbeing and ensuring full compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Oversee and maintain the transport fleet, guaranteeing all operations meet legal requirements and uphold industry best practices.
  • Continuously monitor and review upcoming legislation and industry standards, ensuring the transport function remains compliant and ahead of regulatory changes.
