Qualifications

  • Work alongside and be supported by shift engineers for breakdowns.
  • Keep the SAP system updated with relevant information.

Days Maintenance Engineer

Location: Northamptonshire (NN3)

Commutable from: Kettering, Northampton, Rugby, Milton Keynes, Bedford, Corby, Daventry

Salary: £48,000 + Overtime

Working hours: Monday – Friday, Days

Role & Responsibilities
  • Maintain all reactive and scheduled maintenance on production machinery
  • Work alongside and be supported by shift engineers for breakdowns on production lines
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding and repairs
  • Focus on reliability engineering, continuous and process improvements
  • Keep the SAP system updated with relevant information
  • Order spares & parts within budget, manage service contractors when on site
  • Schedule and plan all maintenance & PPM activities
  • Flag anomalies on machinery & equipment, report reliability and asset care management
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Multi‑skilled engineer capable of fault finding electrically & mechanically
  • Experience with production & packaging machinery
  • At least 5 years experience outside of apprenticeship
  • Ideally completed a formal apprenticeship scheme
  • NVQ or City & Guilds qualified to level 3 or higher
  • Flexible approach to working hours, covering extra hours and different shifts if needed
  • Computer literate – able to use SAP systems
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, control panels, gearboxes
  • Beneficial if able to do welding, fabrication and fitting work
  • Passionate about reliability engineering, continuous improvements, asset care management
