Days Engineer

Location: London, E20 1EJ

Hours of work: 40

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Building Services Technician (Electrical Biased) to deliver high-quality maintenance services across electrical, mechanical, and building systems. This role involves planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and installation work, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and fabric systems.
  • Operate and maintain Building Management and Planned Maintenance systems.
  • Respond to site emergencies and assist with retailer maintenance issues.
  • Liaise with and oversee contractors as required
  • Maintain a safe and clean maintenance workshop and site environment.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping within the CAFM system and office files.
  • Support compliance with health and safety legislation and site emergency procedures.
  • Assist with training and development of other staff.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to workplace audits and improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support for project teams and other ISS staff as needed.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 or higher in Mechanical & Electrical qualification
  • City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (2394/5)
  • Previous experience in building maintenance within a service industry
  • Strong organisational and IT skills
  • Good understanding of health and safety in the workplace
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer-focused approach to problem-solving
