Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is recruiting a Workshop Technician in York to maintain, repair and prepare agricultural machinery, plant and motor vehicles in a well-equipped workshop. The role is days-based, Monday to Friday, with no weekends and a 37-hour week, offering excellent pension, holidays and training opportunities.

You will support lecturers and students with practical tasks, ensuring equipment is safe and ready for use in training sessions, while benefiting from a strong holiday

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Engineering qualification preferred, but Level 2 with strong industry experience also considered
• Full UK driving licence required
• Experience maintaining and repairing vehicles, machinery or engineering equipment
• Background in agricultural, plant or horticultural sectors advantageous

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and prepare agricultural machinery, plant and motor vehicles
• Maintain workshop equipment, tools and training resources
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are safe and ready for student use
• Support lecturers with practical workshop activities and resources
• Assist students with practical engineering tasks when required
• Help maintain a safe, organised and professional workshop
• Varied work across agricultural, plant and motor vehicle equipment
• 37-hour working week
• Monday-Friday, days based
• No regular weekend working
