Day Process Logistics Technician (Agency)

Position Context:

As a Day Process Logistics Technician, you will report directly to the Day Process Supervisor and will be in charge of supporting plant operations by facilitating the flow of bulk and packaged materials on and off the site. In addition you will support the shift teams in some processing activities, e.g. Drumming and de-drumming, filtration and blending.

  • Check daily tanker movements against the daily movements schedule; cross referencing order numbers and products
  • Check conditions and weights of road barrels to ensure cleanliness and compliance with loading procedures
  • Check and complete effluent plant tasks as per procedures
  • Loading and unloading of road barrels and ensuring that they are labelled correctly before leaving site
  • Operating supporting process units
  • Complete the drumming and de-drumming of IBCs and drums
  • Follow Bulk Transfer Operating Discipline adhering to Line Integrity Check procedures
Required skills :
  • Must have an outstanding approach to personal safety as well as the safety of others
  • Must be PC literate
  • The ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment is essential
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • The ability to work on multiple tasks at one time
  • The ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Experience in the Chemical Industry preferred
