Job summary

eTeam is hiring a DataStage Engineer in Manchester to design, develop, and support end-to-end ETL solutions within a regulated banking environment.

You will build pipelines, optimize DataStage jobs, and collaborate with DBAs, Unix teams, and schedulers while mentoring junior developers and owning complex data domains.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DataStage ETL engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support ETL solutions using IBM DataStage.
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs and sequences using IBM DataStage.
• Build end-to-end data pipelines from source systems to data warehouse and downstream platforms.
• Create and maintain ETL design documents, mappings, and technical docs.
• Perform data profiling, validation, and reconciliation for data quality.
• Optimize DataStage jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot ETL failures, data issues, and production incidents.
• Collaborate with DBAs, Unix teams, schedulers, and application teams.
• Support batch schedules, deployments, and controlled releases across environments.
• Adhere to banking controls, SDLC, and change management processes.
• Lead ETL design and reviews for senior delivery.
