Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Site Security Manager to oversee daily physical security operations at our Data Centre in the United Kingdom. You will ensure standards, manage reception, visitor registration, access control, CCTV and incident response in partnership with Securitas.

Ideal candidates have experience leading contract security teams, strong leadership, and knowledge of ISO 27001 or SOC 2. The role offers a path to influence security programs in a fast-growing AI cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise site security management and daily operations at the Data Centre.
• Manage the Securitas security contract and daily performance reviews.
• Oversee reception operations, visitor registration and identity verification.
• Coordinate visitor and contractor access per approved procedures.
• Maintain CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems; conduct inspections.
• Coordinate responses to security incidents and liaise with emergency services.
• Support audits and compliance with ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

About The Role

The Site Security Manager is responsible for the daily management of all physical security operations at the Data Centre. The role ensures that security services delivered by Securitas meet Nscale standards while maintaining a secure environment for staff, contractors, visitors and customers. The Site Security Manager oversees reception security, visitor management, access control, security patrols and operational readiness while acting as the primary point of contact for day-to-day site security matters.

Responsibilities:

Site Security Management

• Manage all physical security operations at DC.
• Ensure security standards are consistently maintained.
• Conduct routine inspections of security controls.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures.

Contract Management

• Manage the Securitas security contract.
• Supervise daily performance of security officers.
• Conduct performance reviews and service meetings.
• Ensure contractual service levels are achieved.

Reception Operations

• Ensure reception operates professionally and securely.
• Oversee visitor registration and identity verification.
• Ensure visitor escorts are available where required.
• Maintain visitor records.

Visitor Management

• Ensure customer visits are coordinated securely.
• Ensure contractor access follows approved procedures.
• Support VIP visits and government delegations.

Physical Security

• Ensure CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems remain operational.
• Conduct physical security inspections.
• Report defects and coordinate remedial actions.
• Verify perimeter security standards.

Security Operations

• Coordinate responses to on-site security incidents.
• Liaise with emergency services.
• Conduct investigations into physical security events.

Compliance

• Support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 audits.
• Maintain site security documentation.
• Support customer security audits.
• Ensure compliance with customer physical security standards.
