Job summary

Harnham is recruiting for a Data QA Engineer to shape testing standards and drive data quality on a modern cloud data platform in the UK. You will design and execute testing across data products, collaborate with Data Engineers and stakeholders, and lead quality initiatives within an Agile environment.

You will work with Databricks and PySpark, applying testing best practices to ensure reliable data delivery and timely project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience testing data platforms and data pipelines.
• Hands-on Databricks experience.
• Strong PySpark, SQL, and Python skills.
• Experience with Agile delivery.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Designing, executing, and maintaining testing activities across data platforms and data products.
• Performing functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing.
• Collaborating with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and stakeholders to manage risks and ensure robust solutions.
• Developing testing strategies and defining quality standards across the team.
• Driving continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and frameworks.
• Managing defects through investigation, tracking, and resolution.
• Working within a Databricks and PySpark environment, contributing to testing and development activities.
