Job summary

NTT DATA is hiring a senior data engineer/architect to lead end-to-end data solutions in a client-facing role. You will design and implement Databricks-based pipelines, lakehouse architectures, and data modelling strategies, while ensuring governance, security, and best practices across engagements.

The role requires strong SQL/Python skills, extensive experience with Databricks, and a track record of delivering scalable data solutions on cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–8 years in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture roles, with at least 3+ years working with Databricks.
• University degree required.
• Databricks certifications (Data Engineer Professional) highly desirable.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong consulting values and client-facing collaboration.
• Hands-on data lifecycle expertise: ingestion, transformation, modelling, governance, and consumption.

• Proven experience in data engineering and pipeline development onDatabricksand cloud-native platforms.

• Hands-on expertise across the data lifecycle: ingestion, transformation, modelling, governance, and consumption.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience leading or mentoring teams of engineers to deliver high-quality scalable data solutions.

Technical Expertise

• Deep expertise with theDatabricksplatform (Spark/PySpark/Scala,Delta Lake,Unity Catalog,MLflow).
• Proficiency inETL/ELT toolssuch asDBT,Matillion,Talend, or equivalent.
• StrongSQLandPython(or equivalent language) skills for data manipulation and automation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS,Azure,GCP).
• Familiarity withDatabricksWorkflows and other orchestration tools.
• Knowledge ofdata modelling methodologies(star schemas, Data Vault, Kimball, Inmon).
• Familiarity with medallion architectures, data lakehouse principles anddistributed data processing.
• Experience withversion controltools (GitHub,Bitbucket) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding ofdata governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
• Exposure to AI/ML workloads desirable.

Experience, Qualifications, and Education

• Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in data engineering, data warehousing, or data architecture roles, with at least 3+ years working withDatabricks.
• Education: University degree required.
• Preferred: BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
• Databrickscertifications (Data Engineer Professional) highly desirable.
