Job summary

Wolters Kluwer seeks a Principal Data Architect to define the target data architecture and lead a strategic data capability. You will own the reference patterns, drive a modern lakehouse foundation, and enforce governance, privacy and security across product domains.

In this role you will prototype solutions, review designs, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product and security teams to align architecture with business goals.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership as Data Architect or similar.

Responsibilities

• Define and own target data architecture, standards and roadmap.
• Design a Databricks lakehouse foundation for secure, scalable data use.
• Establish medallion patterns across Bronze, Silver and Gold layers.
• Create canonical, dimensional and semantic data models for product domains.
• Architect secure data integration using batch, streaming, APIs and CDC.
• Design privacy-preserving data capabilities for AI workloads.
• Create Prototypes and reviews; guide performance optimization.
• Build production-ready solutions with governance, observability and cost control.
• Partner with leaders to translate needs into architecture and delivery plans.
• Mentor engineers and promote reusable platform capabilities.
