Job summary

A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Database Architect for a hybrid position based in London. The contract offers a rate of GBP 550-600 per day inside IR35 for a duration of 6 months. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in PostgreSQL, with a strong background in performance tuning, query optimization, and DB2 to Postgres migration. Familiarity with cloud deployments and CDC tools is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 14 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in DB2 to Postgres migration.
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies.
• Capability to implement CDC in both directions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in PostgreSQL database administration
• Minimum experience: 14 years total; recommended 5 years of experience of DB2 to Postgres migration
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and replication
• Experience with backup and recovery strategies
• Familiarity with cloud-based PostgreSQL deployments (AWS)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• Good to have knowledge of CDC tools like Precisely, zDIH
• Capability to implement CDC in both directions (Postgres ?? DB2 and vice versa)
• Good to have BluAge certification / knowledge and support any migration using BluAge Transformation
