Job summary

Dudley College of Technology is seeking a Database Administrator on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will manage, maintain and optimise the college's database infrastructure with a focus on data warehousing, SQL architecture review and operational improvement.

The post holder will assess the current database environment, identify development needs and work with colleagues across IT & Data to ensure secure, performant and reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in SQL database administration and performance tuning.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and architectures.
• Strong understanding of data security and backup/recovery planning.

Responsibilities

£31,714 - £34,454 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the college Data team. The successful candidate will manage, maintain and optimise the organisation's database infrastructure with a specific focus on data warehousing, SQL architecture review and operational improvement. The post holder will assess the current database environment, identify areas for development and make clear recommendations to support organisational needs. Working with colleagues across IT & Data, the role will also encompass all aspects of day-to-day database administration ensuring systems are secure, performant and reliable.
